Read moreA very investigationdepth in-that began on January 24th by Liberty County Sheriff’s Investigators Shandalynn Rhame and Steven Rasberry has resulted in the arrest of several individuals including two Correctional Officers employed by the county jail facility. According to Rhame and Rasberry, 23 year old Beaumont resident and Correctional Officer Andrus Fisher and 31 year old Sgt. Rashun Demarcus White were arrested along with two accomplices, 43 year old Linnie Lowe and 52 year old Lesa Griffin of the City of Liberty.

Jonathan Carroll and Matt Ubnoskye work up to their necks in cold water to repair a broken water main. While digging to install the new DayNet fiber network, construction crews accidentally hit a main water line leaving residents in parts of Dayton with no water or low water pressure. The newest member of the Economic Development Corporation, Robert Lacy, took his Oath of Office during the Monday, Jan. 25 meeting of the Cleveland EDC. Lacy, who was officially appointed to the organization earlier in the month, was welcomed by fellow EDC members during his first official meeting with the group.

Read moreThe Liberty County Sheriff’s Office was notified regarding the autopsy of the missing person of January 12, 2021 and confirmed the identity of the recovered body to be that of 22-year-old Nathan Heathco, who carried a Baytown, Texas address. According to Criminal Investigation Division Captain Billy Knox, the autopsy further revealed that Heathco had drowned. Evidently, Heathco’s body was submerged in the small tributary off of the Trinity River, and when the water subsided, the body was left on the bank of the tributary where he was later found.
