Dayton comes up just short against Baytown Lee
DAYTON- The Broncos lost a close one to the Baytown Lee Ganders Tuesday night at home 53-47.
Dayton started off well and outscored Lee 14-9 in the opening period taking a 5-point lead into the second quarter. The Ganders responded with a 12-8 scoring drive in the second stanza but still trailed the Broncos 22-21 at the half.
The game also stayed tight in the third quarter as both teams put up 13 points in the period, and Dayton carried a 35-34 advantage heading into the final eight minutes of play.
In the fourth period, the Ganders broke away at the end and outscored the Broncos 19-12 to leave town with the 53-47 victory.
Tegan Pierre-Louis led Dayton in scoring with 15 points, while teammate Donahvan Thibodeaux added 12.
The Broncos will be in action again on Dec. 19 as they travel to Sam Rayburn.
