Turner and Wells named to 22-3A All-District Team

HARDIN - The 22-3A All-District baseball team was recently announced and Orangefield’s Jason Bodin was named the district’s MVP.

Teammate Rusten Traxler took home the Offensive MVP honors, while Toby Marse of Buna was named the Defensive MVP.

The Pitcher of the Year was Kale Know of Buna, while the Newcomer of the Year was David Fussell of Kirbyville.

The Coach of the Year was Tim Erickson of district champion Orangefield.

The Hardin Hornets landed a pair of players on the second team in senior pitcher Cody Turner and sophomore first baseman Jacob Wells.

Anahuac had three players named to the first team in Cameron Edmonds, Bryson Campbell, and Jamie Granger. The Panthers had three more players finish up on the second team. They are Tyler Carusa, Braedon Edwards, and Jathan Sherman.
