Tarkington moves to 5-1 in district

TARKINGTON - The Lady Horns moved to 5-1 in district play with a pair of runs over Crockett last week. Tarkington started things off by traveling to Crockett last Tuesday night and pounded the Lady Bulldogs 19-4 in six innings. The Lady Horns scored in every inning and put up six runs in the sixth to put the game away.

Emily Lowe homered and finished with three hits and two RBIs at the plate. Leanna May had four hits and three RBI’s and Shelbie Chamblee also had three hits and two RBIs. Abby Peachee also had a big game with three hits, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Oakley Blackburn and Maddie Dominy both had two hits. Jaiden Massie pitched into the third inning and got the win on the mound.

On Friday night, the Lady Horns only needed five innings to beat Crockett 11-1. Sheridan House and Kalee Johnson each had two hits and a pair of RBIs. Peachee, Massie, and Blackburn all had two hits each. Lowe pitched a complete game three-hitter on the mound for Tarkington. The senior finished with nine strikeouts.

The Lady Horns will travel to Coldspring on Friday night.
