Maddy Fregia named to 1st team
HARDIN - It was a tough basketball season for the Lady Hornets, but the newly released all-district list saw a couple of players named.
Leading the way in the district was Keyiona McDaniel of Kountze who was named the District MVP. The Offensive MVP was Reese Sherman of Buna while the Defensive MVP was Jada Skipper of Kountze. The Newcomer of the Year was freshman Jayda Leday of East Chambers.
The lone Lady Hornet named to the first-team was senior Maddy Fregia. The silky shooting guard for Hardin has been a mainstay for four years on the varsity.
Named to the second-team for the Lady Hornets was Kayleigh Fregia. The sophomore can beat you from the inside or the outside and will have two more years to play for Hardin Head Coach Zachary Arthur.
