Reed named Newcomer of the Year in 25-AA
DAISETTA — Hull-Daisetta sophomore Haylee Reed emerged on the scene for the Lady Cats this season and her hard work has earned her the 25-AA All-District Newcomer of the Year.
Named the district's MVP was another sophomore, Kelsynn Bruce of Evadale.
The Offensive Player of the Year was Kaylei Armstrong of West Hardin, and the Defensive Player of the Year was Whitley Carter of Evadale.
Named to the first team for the Lady Cats was Quay Haskins, who came just short of 2,000 points in her career. The senior was the heart and soul of the Lady Cats Head Coach Dennis Stewart's squad.
West Hardin also had Kyndall Schroeder named to the first team.
Voted to the second team for the Lady Oilers were Zayli Hudspeth and A'lise Mosley.
Landing on the Honorable Mention team for the Lady Cats was sophomore Karli Trahan.
