Lackey earns 20-4A Newcomer of the Year honors

LIBERTY — In a season in which the Liberty Lady Panthers made it to the Regional Quarterfinals, they claimed numerous awards in the 20-4A All-District Team.
Liberty freshman point guard Jayci Lackey was named the district's Newcomer of the Year, and in his first year as Head Coach of the Lady Panthers, Kearsten Marion was named the 20-4A Coach of the Year.
Taking in first-team honors for Liberty are Breezy Pantalion and Tiana Patterson.
Two more Lady Panthers landed on the second-team list in Tatelynn Carry and Jaclyn Haley.
Three more players were voted to the Honorable Mention Team with Lyric Brown, Loren Nesbitt, and Emerson Rawlinson getting the nod.
Liberty finished its season with an exemplary 28-9 record.
