Women's History Month Highlight- Misty Broom
Misty Broom started her journey of owning a business 15 years ago on a part-time basis, but two years ago, she transitioned full-time into Broom’s Residential and Commercial Cleaning Services.
It was just a small side business for extra cash when she began. Shortly after becoming full-time, she kept track of how many residential and commercial business properties she cleaned and was shocked by the results.
Broom’s provides residential, commercial and construction cleaning services. They will also work with you to customize a package that fits your needs.
Their motto is “Let Broom’s Sweep It Up.”
Broom is a Sam Houston State University graduate and a mother of two, with a three-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. She has also been married to her biggest supporter, her husband Cole, for 14 years.
In her free time, she adores spending time with her family. For instance, she loves to watch her son show heifers and play baseball, while her daughter is a cheerleader and does all the girly things.
For the last 14 years, she has lived in Raywood and loves the community and small-town feel. She has also enjoyed being involved in and supporting many community activities that affect youth.
She has contributed to and sponsored many events and organizations in the area, like the Trinity Valley Exposition, Cleveland Livestock Show, Liberty High School Baseball Team, Liberty FFA, Mid-County 4-H and individual youth rodeo contestants.
