A dream come true

To say he has been living the dream is an understatement for former Dayton Bronco and Dayton Sports Hall of Fame member Will Blackburn, who was named the University of Houston’s Director of Track and Field last week. He has spent over a quarter of a century as a competitor and coach at his alma mater, with perhaps the most significant chapter just beginning.

Slack excelling in baseball and football at Southwestern University

Ever since he was a kid growing up in Liberty, J.J. Slack has always stayed busy in sports. That carried over into high school as a Panther as Slack excelled in football, baseball, and basketball, so it’s to nobody’s surprise that Slack has been a two-sport star at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX.
