Dayton ready to compete in new District 9-5A-II
The start to the 2022 football season is inching ever closer for the Dayton Broncos.
The Broncos will now compete in the new District 9-5A-II.
Gone are Crosby, Barbers Hill, and Kingwood Park, and they are replaced with Fort Bend Marshall, Willowridge, and Galena Park.
Staying for another two years in district with Dayton are Texas City, Nederland, Port Neches Groves, and Santa Fe.
The Broncos get things going at Porter on Aug. 26 and then host Houston Waltrip on Sept. 2 for their home opener.
Dayton then heads back on the road for their final non-district game on Sept. 9 at Montgomery.
After a bye week, the Broncos welcome Santa Fe for the district opener on Sept. 23.
After a trip to Nederland the following Friday, it’s back home for Galena Park on Oct. 7.
The boys in purple and white head out for another road trip to the Golden Triangle against Port Neches-Groves on Oct. 14 and then return home for Texas City the following Friday.
Dayton then has a Saturday contest at Hall Stadium on Oct. 29 against Willowridge before heading back to Houston Methodist Field at Bronco Stadium for the final regular season game against Fort Bend Marshall.
