A plane crashed at the Cleveland Municipal Airport on Monday, May 3, 2021. Darrell Smith of Duncan, Oklahoma, was piloting the 1965 Beechcraft 55 Baron aircraft when he experienced a complete electrical failure. Smith was forced to belly land the plane onto the runway of the airport.

On Sunday night, officers responded to a call at the Old Trinity River Bridge in Liberty about a possible drowning. When the officers arrived, they were told a man had jumped off the bridge into the water but had not been able to escape the water.
