No. 1 on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List Arrested

AUSTIN – Just more than a week after Governor Greg Abbott launched Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has captured the No. 1 most wanted fugitive from that list.

Victor Hugo Chox Gonzalez, 38, who was wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact, was taken into custody in Fort Worth earlier today by DPS Special Agents and booked into the Tarrant County Jail. Chox Gonzalez’s arrest was a result of investigative efforts and a series of leads by DPS Special Agents assigned to his case. A Crime Stoppers reward will not be paid in Chox Gonzalez’s arrest.

LIBERTY – After being tabled at the May city council meeting, golf carts were the hot-button issue this week as leaders decided what route to take regarding much-needed carts at the Liberty Municipal Golf Course.  

Ultimately, a decision was made, but not before a lengthy debate, which saw three separate votes, before the council could find an agreeable solution.
