Lady Panthers compete at Dayton Varsity Tournament
DAYTON - The Liberty Lady Panthers participated in the Dayton Invitational last weekend.
The Lady Panthers opened up play by defeating Porter before falling to Lumberton.
Against Porter, the Lady Panthers won 25- 20, 23- 25, and 1512. Kaylee Johnson and Breezy Pantalion finished with seven kills, while Bayleigh Taylor had 13 assists. Allie Slack served up five aces and added 15 digs.
The Lady Panthers then took on Lumberton and dropped their match to the Lady Raiders in three games: 3029, 16-25, and 11-15.
The first game was an exciting one in which Liberty outlasted Lumberton 30- 29. Back would come the Lady Raiders, winning the next two and the match.
Pantalion led in kills with six, while Taylor had 14 assists.
Jayci Lackey had three blocks and Slack added 15 digs.
On Friday, the Lady Panthers returned to Dayton and dropped a three- set match to Port Neches- Groves 12-25, 25-17, and 9-15 and then lost in two games to the Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles.
Liberty will travel to Port Neches- Groves on Friday afternoon.
