Local schools back in action
Ready or not, fall sports are here. Friday night football is back, and weekly volleyball matches and those early Saturday morning cross country meets are here.
Yes, it’s that time of the year we love.
After a hot and slow summer, high school student- athletes, bands, drill teams, cheer squads, and all we enjoy watching are back.
Our six local high schools will be back in action this Friday night on the gridiron. Over at Bronco Stadium, Dayton hosts Porter while the Liberty Panthers travel to Coldspring. Hardin welcomes in Warren for Homecoming, and the Hull- Daisetta Bobcats make the short trip to Kountze. Tarkington will entertain Evadale, and the Cleveland Indians will travel to Splendora.
For those volleyball lovers, the Lady Broncos will host the Dayton Varsity Tournament this weekend. For those runners, you can travel to Mont Belvieu for the Soaring Eagle Invitational on Saturday morning.
Make sure you catch up with your favorite teams this year in today’s edition and The Vindicator’s yearly Fall Sports Preview.
