Dayton shooting death under investigation
DAYTON – Law enforcement has been busy investigating a shoot i n g death at the Dayton Park Apartments that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police arrived at the complex off Highway 321 around 3 am, May 13, where they found Kendael Ford, 39, a black male, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators were busy Saturday conducting interviews with witnesses and looking for leads in the case.
By Sunday, authorities had obtained an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old male, Kenbriq Rashaun Ty Hubert, who, like the victim, is a Dayton resident.
Hubert turned himself into authorities on Sunday and was booked in the Liberty County Jail on murder charges. His bond has been set at $1 million.
Authorities are still investigating the events leading up to the shooting.
