HARDIN BASEBALL HAS BUSY WEEK
HARDIN- The Hornets had a very busy week on the diamond. After taking care of East Chambers on Monday night at home 15-5, the Hornets finished the week by playing two of the top teams in district.
Hardin stayed close early on Tuesday night at stateranked Orangefield before falling to the Bobcats 10- 0. Hunter Whitehead got the start on the mound and held Orangefield to just two runs in two innings pitched. Jacob Wells entered in the third inning. The Hornets had four hits on the night, with Lleyton Berry getting two. Grayson Creel and Wells had the other hits for Hardin.
On Friday night, the Hornets traveled to Buna and dropped a 10- 0 decision to the Cougars. Whitehead got the start on the bump and pitched into the third inning. Berry came on in relief for Whitehead. Cody Turner had the only hit for the Hornets.
