Mudd declares for Mayor of Dayton
CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT
My name is Martin Mudd. As a husband and a father of three s c h o o l aged children, I know how important it is to have a thriving community with excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, and a robust local economy.
My wife and I married in 2005 and eventually settled on raising our family of five here in Dayton.
I have lived in small communities most of my life, growing up not far from Dayton in the small town of Shepherd; I have lived most of my life in this area. Leaving only for a few years to attend college in Bryan, after which I returned to Cleveland. I truly understand “small communities are a big family.”
My experience as a successful CEO of a Managed IT Service Firm and my years of working in collaborative teams as a Project Manager have helped me to develop strong leadership qualities, problem- solving skills, and effective interpersonal communication, all while working under budget constraints to deliver a strong product successfully. It has also taught me how to make the tough calls to cut spending and, if needed, reduce overhead.
I believe in putting the community’s needs first, while using conservative values to help cut costs, curb unnecessary spending and find alternate revenue streams to help reduce or eliminate additional tax burdens on our community. My dream is to make Dayton a place where everyone can prosper, no matter how long you have been in the family.
I want to work with all residents, business owners, and community leaders to create a vision and implement a plan for our city that includes new jobs, improved infrastructure, and a better quality of life for all.
I am running for Mayor of Dayton and would be honored by your support.
My campaign slogan is “ Making a Difference Together” because I genuinely believe that we can accomplish great things when we work together as a community family. I am making a solid commitment to listening to the concerns of our community, and I will strive to work tirelessly to ensure that no voice is left unheard.
My promise is to be a leader who puts the needs of the community family first. So, I am asking for your vote and support, and I look forward to working with you to create a better future for our city. Together WE can Make a Difference.
