Orangefield hot shooting too much for Hardin

HARDIN- It was raining three-pointers on Tuesday night in Hardin, unfortunately for the Hornets, it was the Orangefield Bobcats hitting them, and that would be more than enough for a 77-38 victory over Hardin in district action.
Carson Williams of the Hornets scored 11 points in the second half and led Hardin with a team-high 15.
Early on, Orangefield gave a glimpse of what was to come by nailing a pair of three-pointers to move in front 9-2.
Anthony Walter scored on a jumper to cut the deficit to 9-4.
The Bobcats then scored the final nine points of the opening quarter to lead 18-4 after one.
Orangefield grew the advantage to 30-9 before a Blaine Thorton bucket made it 30-11.
Williams then had a steal and score, and a basket by Landon Ponton made it 36-17.
Just before the end of the first half, it was Thorton nailing a three-pointer, and the scoreboard saw the Bobcats leading 39-20 at the break.
Williams started the second half by scoring on a nice drop step for a 39-22 deficit.
Orangefield then scored the next nine points to lead 48-22.
Walters then ended the run by grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring before Ponton scored on a threepoint play to make the score 50-27.
