Hardin finishes off 14-0 mark in district with sweep over Warren
HARDIN - The Hardin Lady Hornets played host to the Warren Lady Warriors and swept them in three games, 25-12, 25-17, and 25-12.
The win finished off a 14-0 mark in district play for Hardin and stretched their winning streak to 17 games.
It was Senior Night for the Lady Hornets and they honored Maddy Fregia, Kylee Land, Josie Rollins, and Juliana Smart.
Those same seniors paved the way in various ways to contribute to the win. Rollins led all hitters with 18 kills, while Fregia finished with 12. Kayleigh Fregia and Ellie Brett had 3 kills each to finish out the offense.
Land had 34 assists while Fregia had 2 and Ellie Brett contributed one.
The defense was highlighted by Maddy Fregia with 13 digs and Land, who added 7. Rollins and Smart each added 6 digs. Kayleigh Fregia chipped in with 4 digs and Brett had 2. Morgan Tidwell and Cyler Ledbetter also added 2 digs each.
Smart had 1.5 blocks at the net and Brett had one.
Rollins and Smart led the team in aces with 5, while Maddy Fregia and Land had 2.
Hardin now has a fine record of 30-4 and will face Woodville in the first round of the playoffs.
