Hardin crushes Onalaska 14-1
The Hardin Hornets banged out 15 hits and used six Onalaska errors to take a 14-1 win over the Wildcats on Friday night in district action.
Caden Elmore pitched a complete game two-hitter while striking out nine Onalaska hitters on the night.
Hardin wasted little time jumping in front with four runs in the opening inning. Rylee Board singled, and then Jaden Parrish walked. Carson Williams then singled to load the bases, and then a walk by Cody Turner made it 1-0.
Hayden Sopchak then doubled to score two more, and the score was 3-0.
Leading 4-0, the Hornets added two more in the third as Grayson Creek reached on an error which allowed Elmore and Ryan Harris to score, and the advantage was 6-0.
In the fourth, Turner then added an RBI single to make it 7-1.
Hardin then put the game away with seven runs in the seventh inning.
Blain Thornton and Board had RBI singles, and then Parrish scored two more with a single to make it 11-1.
Sopchak then made it 12-1 with another RBI single.
Sopchak finished with three hits and three RBIs, while Board added three more hits and scored three runs.
Turner finished with two hits and two RBIs, and Parrish also had a pair of RBIs
