DHS looking forward to a successful year

This week eight teachers from Dayton High School attended the 23rd Annual UIL Capital Conference at UT Austin. They attended sessions led by the test writers and some of the most successful coaches from around the state on the various different UIL academic contest and had a chance to learn strategies for making our students more successful during competition as well as in the classroom. Attendees included Accounting Coach Charmaine Brooks, Speech and Debate Coach James Kingsmill, Spelling and Current Events Coach Melissa Luter, Number Sense and Calculator Coach Brittiany Miller, Journalism Coach and UIL Coordinator Elanie Rosser, One Act Play Director and Prose/Poetry Interpretation Coach Diana Searcy, Math Coach Stacy Summerlin and Social Studies and Ready Writing Coach Devontae Wilson (not pictured is Charmaine Brooks).
