Ames draws slate of council candidates

The City of Ames recently held the official drawing to place names on the ballot in the upcoming May 7 City Council Election.

There are three races on the ballot for positions 1, 2, and 4, with the incumbent in each race drawing at least one opponent.

In the race for Position 1 incumbent, Michael Trahan will appear first, while challengers Quatomonique Childress and Wellona Robertson will follow.

Elizabeth Hardy drew the first spot in the Position 2 contest, while incumbent Councilman Reggie Rollins will appear second, and Eugene E. Redmon third.

Finally, the contest for Position 4 will see incumbent Councilwoman Barbara Domain in place one and Alfred Lee Freeman Jr. in the second spot.

Thursday, April 7, is the last day to register to vote in that race.
