Cleveland Chamber hosting Principal for a Day
Have you ever wanted to know what it is like to be a school principal? Well, your opportunity is here, with the return of the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce’s Principal for a Day program.
The event returns after a twoyear hiatus and should prove to be an enriching experience for those community members that take part. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, and will include opportunities at Cleveland, Tarkington, and Splendora ISD; for the first time, Shepherd ISD will also be participating.
Participants will have the opportunity to shadow an administrator for the morning and learn the insights of managing and leading a school. Everyone taking part in the event will begin at their assigned school when the morning bell rings and work through the morning with their designated Principal or Assistant until 11 am. After participants are released, they will head to the Cleveland Civic Center for a luncheon where they will share their experiences.
Registration is now open, and chamber members can signup online at https://forms.gle/qpNVrDvJCVRMv2m77. For more information, contact the chamber at 281-592-8786.
