Dayton Noon Lions are on the prowl
The Dayton Noon Lions added ten new members during the month of November and are looking to add even more in the upcoming months.
“Actually, it was the most new members we have had join our club in a single month since the first month the Dayton Noon Lions Club was chartered in 1988,” said President Mike George. “We don’t expect to stop now, by any means, because as word gets out about the things we do and how we do them, more and more of our area’s citizens are going to want to be part of this.”
The new members who made application and were accepted during the month of November were James and Becca Cain, Brandy Haggard, Sarah and Candy Rucka, Regina Ressler, Paula Thornton, Jennifer Elliott, Julie Campbell and Bobby Horn.
According to President George, the wording from the Dayton Noon Lions’ induction of new members ceremony says it best, “Membership in this club is a privilege. You are about to become a member of the world’s largest and most active service club. Lionism is a cooperative effort in which all of us must participate with our time and talents to be successful in our efforts to serve. Therefore, as a Lions Club member, we expect that you will become actively involved in this club’s fundraising and service projects in order to serve our communities and those less fortunate than ourselves, here and around the world.”
