Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, from 9:30- 11 am at Valley Community Bible Church located at 1507 N. San Jacinto St., Liberty, TX.
Menu includes ham, cornbread dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole and all the trimmings, desserts and drinks will also be served. All meals are free. Local deliveries are available upon request.

Of you can come to the church and pick up the dinners, due to COVID we will not be dining in. There is no charge for the dinner, it is a ministry of Trinity’s Baptist Church, Dayton, Texas. The church is located one block west from the corner of FM 1960 and HWY 321.
VETERAN MEET-UP
You are invited to join us for breakfast and camaraderie with fellow veterans. The next meeting is scheduled fir Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9-11 am Cleveland Historical Museum. The museum is located at 203 E Booth St in Cleveland.
NUTCRACKER MARKET
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Nutcrack Market on Saturday, Dec. 4, in Downtown Dayton at 111 N. Church St. The event will run from 11 am – 9 pm. HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS
The City of Cleveland Hometown Christmas 2021 will be Friday, Dec. 3 from 12 pm – 8 pm and Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 am – 5 pm at the Cleveland Civic Center, located at 210 Peach Ave. The annual parade will be held Saturday at 6 pm. For more information on how to be a vendor, call 281-592-2395.
SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
The City of Dayton will host their annual Spirit of Christmas event Saturday, Dec. 4, and there is an all-new parade route. The parade kicks off at 6 pm and will travel from Richter Elementary on Cherry Creek and turn south on N. Winfree as it travels to Clayton and then back towards Richter on Main Street. The tree lighting ceremony will occur at the pocket park next to City Hall at 7:30 pm, with entertainment to follow. COUNTRY CHRISTMAS
Mark your Calendars for Country Christmas; Tuesday, December 7th, food trucks will open at 5 pm, with the parade starting at 6 pm.

GREATER CLEVELAND CHAMBER OPEN HOUSE
Join us Wednesday, Dec. 15 for our Annual Holiday Open House & Jim’s Retirement Reception, hosted by the Greater Cleveland Chamber and Veritex Bank. Light hors d’oeuvres, holiday treats, and punch will be served all day from 11am to 4pm with a special presentation by the Chamber Board of Directors at noon. TCL TRADE DAYS
The Tarkington Community Library will be hosting TCL Trade Days on the second Saturday of each month from 9 am – 4 pm. They will have arts, crafts, antiques, baked goods, sweets, vintage boutiques, concessions, and family fun. 2022 GREATER CLEVELAND CHAMBER BANQUET
The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce will their annual Chamber Banquet, Friday, Jan. 22 from 5-8 pm at the Cleveland Civic Center. This year’s theme is the roaring ‘20’s and there will be loads of fun as they will have a 1920’s Best Dresses Contest, as well as Best Charleston Dance Contest with a full course dinner served with foods from the era. Winners will receive trophies and gift cards. Entertainment for the night will be provided by Roadhouse Randy Karaoke and DJ. Presenting Sponsor will be Emergency Hospital Systems. HARDIN SENIOR CITIZENS
The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. The Dayton Old School Museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 10 am – 2 pm. The museum is located at 111 W. Houston St. in Dayton.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY
The Family Church in Hardin is hosting Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.

As the legislative branch of the City of Ames government, the City Council holds open public meetings where local laws, policies, and fundamental decisions for the city are discussed and decided. City Council members are elected at large.
