TVE returns with more memories

Anyone who has grown up or just spent a little time in our area has experienced the Trinity Valley Exposition one way or another; whether showing animals or projects, volunteering, enjoying the Parade, spending time with friends at the carnival, selling goods, or just getting the day off from school. TVE is as much a part of Liberty County as there comes.

Unfortunately, most of those events were canceled in 2020, as so many other things were, and now finally, that familiar time of year has returned, and everything will be in full swing at the 2021 TVE as it opens this weekend.

Several significant events highlight things this weekend, with the BBQ Cookoff getting underway and the always popular Wine Tasting Event kicking it off Friday evening. For all of you, Dominos enthusiasts, do not forget the 42 Tournament either.

Saturday will see the ever famous Baby Parade, starting at 10 am in Downtown Liberty, and back at the TVE Fairgrounds is another day of pits blazing with a full slate of judging some good grub, as it all leads up to the Concert Dance featuring Wayne Toups and Dustin Sonnier at 8 pm.

Sunday, rodeo fans will have fun, as the Ranch Rodeo gets underway at 2 pm.

Tuesday night, the Carnival and Exposition Hall opens up with fun and all kinds of goods to peruse at 5 pm. There is Free Admission to the fairgrounds on Tuesday night only.

Opening Day comes Wednesday, and the always exciting and beloved Parade returns to Downtown Liberty, with a 10 am start time. Gates to the fairgrounds will open at 10 am as well, with the Exposition Hall opening at 11 am.
