Indians Fall to Magnolia West
Coming off back to back victories the Cleveland Indians (2-2, 1-1) were hoping to keep that momentum going as they hit the road and out west, for a contest with Magnolia West (4-0, 2,0). The Indians had shown some big improvement in wins over North Forest and Waller, but unfortunately the Mustangs had some other ideas in store for the Indians in a 41-14 drubbing.
The Mustangs got things going early on in the game, scoring all 41 of their points in the opening two quarters of play, as they capitalized on four Indian turnovers to do all of the damage they would need on the night.
Cleveland did not quit on the night and was still able to move the ball some, in fact they would end up out gaining the Mustangs with 247 yards of total offense, to Magnolia Wests 243.
The top defender on the night was Victor Varos, with 3 tackles, 2 for a loss and a forced fumble.
The Indians will be back at home this Friday night when the Magnolia Bulldogs (2-2, 1-1) come to town, kickoff is set for 7 pm.
