Flowers easily wins at Anahuac HC Meet
It was another busy weekend for the Liberty boys and girls cross country teams as they took part in the 22nd Annual Anahuac HC Meet on Saturday morning at White Park. Patrick Flowers was on fire for Liberty and easily won the boys race by some:12 seconds of the second-place finish er. Rene Romero finished in 6th place while teammate Matthew Morin was right behind in 7th. Dalton Bishop crossed the line in 22nd place while Daniel Del Rio finished in 35th. Ean Fregia came across in 42nd place. Also competing for Liberty were Adam Willis, Bryant Wright, and Brice Schwarze. The boys finished in 3rd place in the team totals. The Lady Panthers also came home with a 3rd place finish for the team totals on the girls’ side. Holly Thomas and Marina Bourgeois finished in 22nd and 23rd place respectfully. Alissa Caruso was 26th, and Brooke Hazlewood finished in 35th. Also taking part for Liberty was Abby Colburn, Kaylee Hernandez, Brianna Sanchez, Malei Chaparro, Valerig Torres, and Lexi Chaparro. Saturday will be very busy in Liberty as the boys and girls host the Tony Munson Invitational.
