“OLD GLORY”
I was touring the aftermath of hurricane with two men in the National Guard. One of the guardsmen noticed a flag caught in a tree about fifty yards off the road. At his request, I turned around and went back to the spot. The two men went out in the field, got the flag, attached it to a stick and hung it on the fence by the side of the road. The guardsman told me, “I just couldn’t leave it there.”
“Scoffers set a city aflame, but wise men turn away wrath.” (Proverbs 29:8) I love our flag and all it represents.
