An unexpected consequence of the Authors' Autograph Party in Lufkin was the reunion of Corkey Fuller (left) and author Rosie Walker (right), who had not seen one another since 1958 in elementary school in Beaumont. Rosie is the author of the Texas Write-In and is working on a book called The Girl Who Thought She Was Roosevelt.

Keith Carter from Cleveland had his book Just Another Soldier represented at Authors' Autograph Party in Lufkin by his daughter Jamie Carter Bollich. She had her book with her to sign and sell called Arvetta, a historical novel coauthored with Herman Wright Jr. The only thing missing that day was Peggy Dodson and Michelle Bailey.
