FALSE WITNESS
When asked the definition of a lie, a little boy in Sunday School once declared, “A lie is an abomination to God and an ever present help in time of need.”
Mark Twain said, “When in doubt tell the truth.”
The Saturday Evening Post once reported, “The trouble with stretching the truth is that it is apt to snap back!” Falsehoods may have their day, but they have no future.
Can we even know what the truth is anymore? Yes, when we remember that real truth is not an idea or principle, but a person. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me.”
