Millennium Physicians Oncology grand opening
Dr. Pierre Khoury and Dr. Samer Suki have treated area patients for years. Previously, their patients had to travel to Kingwood for chemotherapy and infusions. For some time, these two caring medicine men watched as the supposed journey to cure people took the life out of them.
One such patient was Late Cleveland Mayor Otis Cohn. Dr. Pierre Khoury spoke about the many conversations he had with the gentleman before, during, and after his treatments. The late mayor also dreamed of a facility in Cleveland where local people could receive their care. On Monday, US Congressman Dr. Brian Babin was present for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting. He presented a plaque to Cohn’s widow, placed beside the infusion room door, which now bears Otis Cohn’s name.
The room was full of dignitaries and well-wishers. State Representative Ernest Bailes was there. Current Mayor Richard Boyett, City Councilman Danny Lee, and Councilmember Marilyn Clay supported the new enterprise.
Local cancer treatment will be a help to those already suffering. The staff was accommodating and friendly.
