SETTING THE HOOK

I was standing beside Leon when his line took off, and he began to reel. You could tell by the way the rod was bending he had a “bull red” redfish on the other end. When he finally got his prize catch to the surface, we all saw the biggest fish of the day as it “spit” the lure out and swam away. I thought we were going to have to call 911 to take care of Leon.

Our guide looked at Leon and said, “I think that one would have made the Guinness Book of World Records, but you still have to set the hook!”

In John 10:28 Jesus said of those who place their faith in Him, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

In other words, “Jesus sets the hook.”
