The Dayton Lady Broncos brought out the bats on Thursday night in Porter by knocking out 14 hits and scoring in every inning except for one in a much needed 14-4 win over the Lady Spartans in district play. Dimika Anthony-Conner and Natalie Garcia were then each hit-by-pitches to score two more and run the lead to 3-0. Dayton would get one more run to make it 4-0. The Lady Broncos added another run in the third inning thanks to an RBI single by Garcia and then the advantage was up to 5-0. Porter then went to work in the bottom half of the frame by scoring four runs to cut the deficit to 5-4. Dayton got single tallies in the fourth and fifth innings to increase their lead back to 7-4. The Lady Broncos then got some breathing room in the sixth frame with three more runs as Garcia, Butcher, and Anthony-Conner all had RBI’s in the inning.
