Shirley Jackson Majors, 1941-2020

Shirley Jackson Majors, 78, of Liberty passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6 a.m. in Austin.

A memorial service will be held for Shirley on Saturday, March 14, starting at 12 p.m. at Heights Baptist Church, 2401 Jefferson Drive, Liberty, Texas. Lunch will be served following the service in the fellowship hall.

Shirley was born July 9, 1941 in Beaumont to Jewel Wayne Jackson and Armathia Barnes. Shirley graduated from Liberty High School in 1959. She spent most of her adult life in Liberty but also lived overseas for many years with her husband, Freddie, and daughter, Kelly. She was a dedicated friend and a loving mother, sister and aunt.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie Majors; sister, Linda Jackson Taylor of Liberty; and brother, John Wayne Jackson of Liberty.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Corbin Hanania and husband Joseph of Austin; 16 grandchildren, Romy Hanania and Michael Hanania, both of Fort Worth, Marcus Hanania of Austin, Chris Majors, Lance Majors, Leslie Majors, Paige Majors, Tessa Baggett, Anneke Majors Garcia, Max Majors, Haeli Majors Allen, Bohni Majors, Hagan Majors, Emarie Majors, Melanie Majors and Michael Majors; stepsons, Kenny Majors, Clint Majors and wife Kathy Majors, Fred Majors Jr. and wife Lisa Majors, and Dale Majors.

Memorials may be made to any children's charity. Shirley loved children!
