LHS law class delivers Christmas goodies to LCSO
The prevailing Christmas mood of Peace on earth, Good will towards Men could not have been demonstrated more vividly than Tuesday when the entire Liberty High School Law Enforcement class delivered their hand made “Christmas goodies” to the very appreciative personnel of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. The students good will originated within their class to do something for local law enforcement. This gracious gesture was headed up by their class Instructor, Coach Terry Higginbotham, himself, a retired Pasadena Police Officer and who has a deep appreciation for youth who wants to support law enforcement.
Coach Higginbotham’s class is composed of twenty students who takes this class with the eventual goal of, perhaps, becoming either a Peace Office or a Correctional Officer if by graduation their career choice remains in this area of interest. Many have followed through with this training and are now employed in their respective field of choice.
On this special day, a very large amount of cookies and other savory delights of sweets graced a large table in the LCSO patrol room where all personnel enjoyed the tasteful items that could satisfy any sweet tooth that might pass the table.
Higginbotham said he and his class are so very grateful to School Principal Venicia Bendele who not only approved the students project but is a strong supporter of the students and their life goals in this field of study.
So, on behalf of Sheriff Bobby Rader and all his LCSO personnel, they extend a grateful Thank You to the students, their Teacher and the Liberty School District for remembering the LCSO at this special time of year.
