Christmas Tree winners named
Winners in the City of Dayton’s annual Christmas Tree Competition were announced this week after the votes were tallied at the city’s Spirit of Christmas event.
Area organizations, individuals and groups decorate the trees, which are on display at the Dayton Community Center. Participants are asked to provide a donation amount of their choice. All donations go towards the Liberty County Bikes for Kids program, which provides Christmas assistance to Liberty County families.
Six judges and 273 public votes determined the winning trees. The winner for Most Unique Tree: is Pct. 4 Constable Robby Thornton. Winning for Best Themed Tree is Pct. 4 Commissioner Leon Wilson. And winning for both Most Extreme and People’s Choice Trees is HellRaisers.
The trees will be on display throughout the rest of the year.
