Nancy Dennison

Nancy Ruth Dennison, 58, of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Born on September 24, 1965, in Liberty, Texas, Nancy was the cherished daughter of Judy Gilbreath and the late Louis Nugent.

Nancy was a remarkable woman with a love for life’s simple pleasures. She could often be found enjoying time on her iPad, indulging in her love for mysteries, or simply getting some well-deserved rest. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who took immense pride in caring for her family, always putting their needs before her own.

Nancy was known for her intelligence, curiosity, and kindness. She was a lifelong learner, always eager to explore new ideas. Her honesty, faithfulness, and generosity were just a few of the qualities that made her so beloved by those who knew her. Although she kept her faith private, it was a source of strength throughout her life.

In 1991, Nancy graduated from Lee College with an associate's degree in nursing, a testament to her dedication to helping others. She went on to work at Memorial Hermann in downtown Houston and Houston Methodist San Jacinto, where her bright and caring nature shone through in her work. Her bubbly personality and radiant smile could light up any room, and she was always a joy to be around.

Nancy was a night owl, often staying up late to enjoy the quiet of the evening. She was easy to love and left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Louis Nugent. She is survived by her loving husband of 12 ½ years, Gary F. Dennison; her children, Austin Hershberger, and Christy Beth Trevino and her husband Collin, all of Baytown, Texas; her precious granddaughter, Sophia Eloise Trevino, of Baytown, Texas; her mother, Judy Gilbreath, of Baytown, Texas; her sister, Ladell Wylie, and her husband Tim, of Baytown, Texas; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12 PM to 1 p.m on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at, St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 2041 Trinity St, Liberty, TX 77575. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.. A graveside and committal service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Cooke Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Nancy’s warmth, love, and light will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and care will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
