WEEKLY SOFTBALL RECAP
DAYTON — The Dayton Lady Broncos fell at Alvin last Monday night 5-0 to the Lady Yellow Jackets. Dayton was held to just two hits as Madi Alvarado pitched four innings and struck out on the mound in being tagged with the loss. Ava Horrell and Mika Anthony-Conner had the only hits for the Lady Broncos.
HARDIN — A big early lead paced the Anahuac Lady Panthers to a 9-2 victory over Hardin on Friday in district play. Jocelyn Armstrong started for the Lady Hornets and went the distance in the loss. She allowed only five earned runs.
Lana Beasley finished with three hits, while Kaitlyn Key and Armstrong each had two hits.
TARKINGTON — The Lady Horns had a tough week as they fell to Anderson-Shiro at home 10-6 on Monday night and then in Anderson 11-0 on Tuesday. In the 10-6 loss at home, Oakley Blackburn and Savannah West each finished with two hits apiece. Maddie Dominy struck out six on the mound.
