Jubilee returns next weekend
LIBERTY — It’s almost time for the biggest and best family fun event around, as the 2024 Liberty Jubilees is back next Friday and Saturday, March 22-23. As always, admission to the event is free, and there will be plenty to do, including the exciting annual street dance featuring Mason Lively and Carson Jeffrey. The dance gets underway on the Travis Street stage at 8 p. m. and runs through midnight.
Downtown Liberty will transform into the festival grounds, and gates will open at noon on Friday with plenty to see and do along the way, including arts and crafts, food, a kid’s area, Liberty Municipal Library Book Sale, and the BBQ Cookoff.
As always, Gator Country will bring plenty of excitement to attendees. It takes place on Friday and Saturday behind the Humphreys Cultural Center.
The Mobile Axe Throwing station and Liberty Fire Department Dunking Booth always offer fun for everyone.
The carnival is always a huge draw, especially for the kids, and armbands are available for $ 25 daily.
The grounds open at 9 a. m. on Saturday, and there will be plenty of entertainment.

2: 30 - 3: 45 p. m. – The Allstar Zydeco Band
4: 15 - 5: 30 p. m. – Justin Kemp Band
5: 30 - 6 p. m. - BBQ Awards
The Liberty Jubilee Car Show will be held on Saturday. The show will feature classics, antiques, street rods, muscle cars, custom rides and trucks. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and People’s Choice.
There is also free offsite parking and a shuttle on Saturday.
