LHS Choir soars at UIL Solo & Ensemble
Recently 30 members of the Liberty High School Choirs competed at the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Vidor High School.
All of the LHS students received a superior, which is a 1st division, or an excellent, which is a 2nd division, rating which culminated in thirty-two 1st division medals.
Performing a Class 3 solo and receiving a 1st division from their judges were: Camila Becerra, Journey Brown, and Racheal Gwin.
Performing a Class 3 piano solo and receiving a 1st division was Ancyna Nguyen.
Performing a Class 2 solo and receiving a 1st division were: Jayden Brown, Adan Franco, Timothy Land, Isabella Reyna, Guillermo Rodriguez, Sarah Rodriguez, Lexi Roy, Carlos Rubio, Andrea Ruiz, and LonDen Wilridge.
Performing a Class 1 solo and receiving a 1st division were: Brianna Bowles, Kirsten Erskins, Christian Fischer, Seely Ford, Ellie Hale, Samantha Molina, Trinity Perrino, Astrid Sifuentes, and Cooper Warden.
Performing a Class 1 ensemble and receiving a 1st division was: Brianna Bowles, Kirsten Erskins, Seely Ford, Adan Franco, Ellie Hale, Eileen Maynard, Samantha Molina, Trinity Perrino, and Cooper Warden.
By performing a Class 1 solo or ensemble and making a 1st division these students qualified to advance to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest which will be held at the end of May in Austin: Brianna Bowles, Jayden Brown, Kirsten Erskins, Christian Fischer, Adan Franco, Seely Ford, Ellie Hale, Eileen Maynard, Samantha Molina, Trinity Perrino, Astrid Sifuentes, and Cooper Warden.
The Liberty High School Choirs are directed by Christie Bean, assisted by Ryan McKinney and accompanied by Jenny Gunter.
