Dayton ISD MCJROTC Competes at the 2nd Annual Battle of the Alamo

Dayton MCJROTC recently competed in the 2nd Annual Battle of the Alamo at Travis High School. The cadets represented DHS MCJROTC and the Dayton Cadets did very well. Dayton High School proudly sent 41 cadets and competed against 15 other schools. They received the following awards: 1st place female Raider Challenge, 3rd place male Raider Challenge, 1st place unarmed inspection (lead by Leanna Johnson), 3rd place unarmed color guard (Lead by Peyton Lon), 2nd place unarmed regulation (lead by Leanna Johnson) and 3rd place unarmed division overall. Dayton MCJROTC is under the instruction of CWO-3 (Ret.) Ron Tash, Senior Marine Instructor, Marine Corps JROTC and 1st Sgt, USMC (Ret) Roy Matthews.
