Alma’s offers Garden Club presentation

The Liberty Garden Club met on Nov. 3 for their monthly meeting. The setting for the meeting was the beautiful home of member Patty Stretcher in Dayton.

Alma Yanez of Alma’s Florist brought the program. She has been practicing her trade for more than 28 years. She helped members with tricks to make a festive centerpiece from items they have in their home and kitchen. She specifically helped members with designs for the upcoming Thanksgiving Day celebrations. She also taught members a little about All Saints Day and the Mexican Day of the Dead or el Día de Muertos. She encouraged members to bring out those special heirlooms and make them a part of their holiday decorations.

After their business meeting, members socialized over delicious refreshments provided by hostesses Patty Stretcher, Bessie Conn and Danna Lee.
