The Secret Place

In Psalm 91 God promises His presence, power, protection, deliverance, and salvation to the one who dwells with Him in His secret place; trusting, and loving Him; finding all of his value in God, and staying connected to Him day in and day out.

Spirituality is a personal and intimate journey that requires time, effort, and dedication. We often feel disconnected and lost as we seek to connect with God. We search for answers and guidance daily and sometimes struggle to find peace.

However, there is a secret place of the Most High God where we can discover and find refuge and rest. This is a place where intimacy with God is cultivated, and faith is strengthened.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. -1 John 5:14-15. Prayer is simply talking to God about life, sharing the good and the bad.

If we, as parents, want to hear about our kids’ lives and help them, imagine how much more our Father in heaven wants to hear from us. God is a good Father who wants to hear from us and work on our behalf.

In Mark 11:24, Jesus says, “whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” When we’re scared, hurting, or restless, we can ask God for help. When friends or loved ones are struggling, we can talk to God on their behalf. Battle after battle in the Old Testament is won by prayer, not by swords. In Acts, prayer opens a jail cell to free Paul and Silas. Through prayer, Jesus and the disciples heal diseases and even bring people back from the dead. If prayer can do all that, just think about what the power of prayer could do for you!

1 Peter 3: 12 says, “ The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer”. The Lord is ready and waiting for you to talk to Him. To meet with Him in that secret place of prayer that is just you and God.

The Secret Place of the Most High God is a place where you can experience the presence of God in a unique way. It is a place of intimacy and closeness with God that goes beyond the ordinary. It is a place where you can find rest, peace, and comfort amid life’s challenges. This secret place is not a physical location but rather a spiritual realm that is accessible to everyone who seeks it with a sincere heart.
