LISTENING FOR A SOUND

Several years ago I took a group of young boys to a football game at Baylor University. A special program was planned at halftime, which included a flyover by Air Force fighter jets. They seemed to come out of nowhere, roared right over our heads, and nearly shook us out of our seats. As soon as they were gone, the little boy next to me, named Woody, said, “Brother Danny, did you see that?” I was thinking, “How could you miss it!” “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God…” 1Thessolonians 4:16.

With all that is going on in this world now, I am not looking for any more signs; I am listening for a sound.
