Tarkington will take to the road early on

The Tarkington Longhorns football team will welcome the Chad Taylor era on the Prairie.

The former Liberty Panthers boss will see his new team be road warriors early on as Tarkington opens with three of its first four on the road with only four home games in 2022.

The Longhorns will travel to Evadale on Aug. 26 to open the season.

Tarkington heads to Shepherd the following Friday before playing their home opener on Sept. 9 with Huntington.

The Horns head back on the road the next Friday for a match-up at Beaumont Kelly.

After an open week on Sept. 23, district play starts with Hardin at home on Sept. 30.

A trip to Orangefi eld will follow the next Friday, and then back home for Kirbyville on Oct. 14.

The Longhorns will have a tough one on Oct. 21 as they travel to Winnie and a batt le with East Chambers.

Buna then comes to visit on Oct. 28, and then the regular season ends on Nov. 4 with a trip to Anahuac.
