Liberty volleyball gets a split over the week
On a rare Wednesday night volleyball game at home, the Liberty Lady Panthers kept up with their winning ways with a threegame sweep over Hamshire-Fannett 25-18, 25-13, and 25-18. The game was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday because of Hurricane Nicholas.
Katrina Tran had another nice game with 33 assists and 4 aces while Morgan Vaughn led in kills with 10. Madyson Goudeau finished with 4 blocks, and Emalee Villareal added 22 digs. On Friday night, Liberty faced a tough Huffman team and fell in four game 23-25, 25-23, 14-25, and 12-25. Vaughn and Goudeau each had 11 kills apiece, while Villareal had 21 digs and 4 aces.
The Lady Panthers are now 21-7 on the season and 2-1 in district play. They will travel to Splendora for a Friday afternoon contest.
