LIBERTY — Freshman Maddie Ziriax delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning, and the Liberty Lady Panthers run-ruled Hamshire-Fannett 10-0 on Friday in district play.

Leading 8-0 heading to the bottom of the sixth inning, Abbie Key singled, and then Abby Vickers reached on an error.

Brookelyn Taylor walked to load the bases, and Ziriax looped a single to right field to score both Key and Vickers and put an end to the night for the Lady Horns. For the Lady Panthers, it was their 21st win in a row. They are now 21-1 and 2-0 in district.

Liberty scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning without a hit. Bailee Slack walked and then promptly stole second and moved to third on a passed ball.

Kylee Bishop followed with a walk and then stole second. Slack scored on a wild pitch, and Bishop moved to third on the play. Hollie Thomas then lifted a fly ball to center field to plate Bishop and the score was 2-0.

In the second frame, Marina Bourgeois singled and then moved to second on a nice bunt by Ziriax. Breezy Pantalion then smashed a double to score Bourgeois and the lead was 3-0.

Liberty added three more runs in the third inning, all on home runs, as Thomas, Bayleigh Taylor, and Key went backto- back-to-back with all of them being no doubters, and the Lady Panthers advantage was 6-0.

In the fourth inning, Bishop singled and then Thomas scored her with a single for a 7-0 lead.

The fifth inning saw Bishop score Pantalion, who had singled with a single of her own for the 8-0 score.

Liberty ended the night with two more in the sixth, thanks to Ziriax.

Brookelyn Taylor pitched five innings and finished with 10 strikeouts in picking up the win. She allowed just one hit. Bishop pitched the sixth frame.

The Lady Panthers will be back in action on Thursday morning as they travel to Livingston.
