Liberty perfect at The Woodlands Tournament

THE WOODLANDS — It was another productive weekend for the Liberty Lady Panthers as they played in The Woodlands Tournament and finished a perfect 5-0.

On Thursday night, The Woodlands came up short in a 10-3 loss to the Lady Panthers.

Hollie Thomas homered and finished with three hits along with four RBIs.

Bayleigh Taylor had three doubles and drove in three, while Bailee Slack and Abbie Key each had three hits.

Brookelyn Taylor picked up the win on the mound while striking out eight.

On Friday afternoon, Liberty beat Cinco Ranch 13-1 and Bellaire 10-0.

In the win against Cinco Ranch, Bayleigh Taylor had the big bat with two home runs and five RBIs. Thomas also had a pair of hits and three RBIs, while Kylee Bishop homered and drove in three.

Bishop also picked up the win on the bump.

In the shut-out of Bellaire, Bishop hit a pair of homers to go along with three RBIs and Slack also went yard and finished with three hits and two RBIs.

Bayleigh Taylor did not allow a hit while striking out 10.

On Saturday afternoon, the Lady Panthers beat Cy-Ranch 9-0.

Breezy Pantalion and Bayleigh Taylor both hit home runs. Slack and Taylor each had two hits, while Bishop pitched a three-hitter.

The final game on Saturday saw Klein Oak score three runs in the top of the first inning on Liberty, but the Lady Panthers responded with four of their own in the bottom half of the frame in a 9-3 victory.

Thomas crushed two home runs and finished with three hits and four RBIs. Key also had a pair of hits and three RBIs. Brookelyn Taylor struck out nine to get the win.

The Lady Panthers will host the SE Texas Invitational starting on Thursday.
