Lady Panthers drop Lady Lions, fall to Lady Hawks
LIBERTY - On Tuesday night, the Lady Panthers welcomed in Livingston and dealt the Lady Lions a loss in four games 25-23, 11-25, 25-19, and 25-21.
Liberty was on fire except for the second game. Ashlyn Cordova and Bayleigh Taylor each finished with double-doubles.
Cordova finished with 10 kills and 15 digs, while Taylor had 31 assists and 19 digs. Allie Slack added five aces and 18 digs and Abby Vickers had 10 kills and two blocks. Breezy Pantalion chipped in with 16 digs.
The freshman Lady Panthers won in three games while the JV fell in two.
On Friday afternoon, Liberty traveled to Sour Lake and played Hardin-Jefferson for five games before falling to the Lady Hawks 25-19, 8-25, 16-25, 25-14, and 13-15.
The Lady Panthers battled back from a 2-1 deficit in the match to win game four 25-14 to send the match to a fifth and final game. Both teams battled hard before Hardin-Jefferson would win 15-13 to take the match.
Liberty will play their annual Alumni game on Friday at the Lady Panthers Gym.
